The weekly challenges over at Studio L3 always get my creative juices going. This week the challenge is to recreate Tim Holtz's plaid background using alcohol inks from way back in December of 2009. Great for moi since I haven't done much with alcohol inks yet.
Mine looks quite a bit different than his, but I think it works with my tag. I don't have any glossy cardstock so I inked up my felt and rubbed it over a transparency instead. Inks used were Adirondack Alcohol Inks (Sailboat Blue, Citrus, Blending Solution), StazOn (Jet Black), Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint, Pumice Stone), Distress Stain (Broken China - to dye the seam binding).
If you'd like to play along pop by the Studio L3 blog for your chance to win a fabulous prize from Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend!

I really love the soft, delicate background you achieved here ... a perfect "spring" tag!
Lovely tag, love the colours you used so peaceful. :)
