Hello Fall Mood Board

Hello, Friends!

I recently caved and purchased the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die set.  I just had to - love me some interactive fun.  I made this card for the Lawn Fawnatics current mood board challenge.

Here's what each sentiment says...

The mood board is fall-inspired and full of beautiful fall colors and inspiration.

Check out the challenge HERE.

CASual Fridays Fall Fun

Happy Sunday!

The last couple of days have been very fall-like (translate to grey skies and cooler temps for us) but today the sun is peeking out again.  LOVE it!  We've had an amazing stretch of sunny days here in the Seattle area and I've been soaking up all of the sunshine that I possibly can.  I love the crispness to the air that fall brings and I've definitely noticed some leaves changing color.  That's what was on my mind when I created this card for the CASual Fridays Fall Fun challenge this week.

The stamps are from an A*Muse clear stamp set and the patterned paper grass is a scrap I had on hand.  I took some golden-hued cardstock and embossed it with my woodgrain folder and then went over that with some Wild Honey distress stain to make it a bit darker and to highlight the embossing some more.  I think I'm going to send this card to my mamacita tomorrow.  It's been a shamefully long time since I've sent her a card.

Thanks for stopping by.  :)

Fall Leaves

Few things say fall to me like the changing colors on the trees.  I spotted these beautiful leaf-shaped doilies and so many ideas for using them came to mind.

I've added sets of each of these lovely lacy leaves here in my Etsy shop.

I'm imagining them scattered down the center of a table as a pseudo (and very easy) table runner. I may either sew them together or thread them on some bakers twine for a simple fall garland on my mantle. Picture a package simply wrapped in kraft paper with these as the gift tag or in a smash book documenting an autumn road trip.  These would be put to good use as masks on paper projects as well - lay them on some paper and spray with a colored mist.  Remove the doilie to reveal a pretty, lacy leaf image.

These are just the tip of the iceberg - so many possibilities!
