Birthday Card for Archer

 Hello!

I just came across this card in my Google Photos...had kind of forgotten about it.  I made it for the little guy I nanny for; his birthday was last week.

I'm still digging into the stash post-100 Day Project.  These dies have been around for a WHILE.

Cheers!

Interactive Cards

...are the best!  I LOVE interactive cards.  I love giving them to other people even more.  Check out these two that I made this weekend.

This pop up box card was super easy and fun to put together.  When I showed it to my husband he thought it was pretty cool but also gave me a funny look.  You see, our kids have aged out of sports (the baby graduated from high school last June)...we don't really need coach thank you cards.  I had the idea though and just HAD to make it - haha!

My bro-in-law's birthday is coming up later this month.  I made this fun one for him.  It makes me grin.

My daughter is nicer than I am...she thought the smoke was from blowing out the candles.  I see it as the blaze from so many candles.  Either way...

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

Cheers Birthday Card

Well once the card-making got rolling today I felt the need to go with it.  Here's another card made for MFT's sketch challenge AND birthday challenge.

Finally got to play with my new-to-me Cheers and Wine Service die sets.  Fun!  Now...who's birthday is coming up?  My sister's!

MFT Sketch #463

I saw the sketch posted for the latest MFT sketch challenge and had to give it a try.  It's deceptively simple and was a little tricky for me.

Here's the sketch:

Time to add this one to my stash.  You can never have too many extra cards on hand... 😉

Party Animal Birthday Card

My sister's birthday is coming up and I think she'll get a chuckle out of this.  That is...if she isn't annoyed that I'm reminding her that she's another year older. 😁

I'm entering this in the Less Is More #406 and the MFT Birthday sentiment challenges.

Cheers!

MFT Creative Olympics: Biathlon Challenge

Another card added to the stash!  This was a fun challenge.  I had to pick a technique from choices in two separate columns.  I went with dry embossing and gift card to get this:

I used one of the dies from Blueprints 26 to dry emboss 'birthday'.

MFT products used:

  • Blueprints 26
  • Stitched Rectangle STAX
  • Gift Card Grooves
  • Gift Card Greetings
  • Umbrella Stamp Set & Die
This card works for the MFT's birthday challenge too (balloons).  Sweet!

Birthdays!

We celebrated a couple of birthdays in my little household this week.  Woo hoo - party!  I cheated a bit and made two very similar cards using Tim Holtz's Crazy Birds stamps and dies.  They're just fun, you know?

I have been such a slacker about making cards for a while now.  Christmas is coming though and I think there's an expectation that I'll be sending out a plethora of handmade delights so I'd better get back into the mode!

Have a fantastic week.  Cheers!

Birthday Boy Card

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a hard time coming up with cards for guys.  My middlest son had a birthday a few days ago and I was at a loss.  He's a teenager so I veered away from cute as best I could.  :)  I finally ended up with this:

It was simple and quick to put together once I started.  First I attached strips of washi tape to cardstock.  Using the Cricut, I cut the stars out.  An eyelet on the itty bitty one and some string tied through it enhanced the sentiment.  I picked up the gears embossing folder (on sale, of course!) at the store the other day and it seemed like the perfect background to keep it from being too 'rah-rah', cutesy.

The kiddos are on Spring Break this week.  Off to go get into some mischief with my cohorts.  Have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

Talitha at Marinus Home asked me to make some birthday cards to sell in her shop.  I decided to go with something kind of fun and whimsical.

Happy Birthday Card

The cake and candles are colored with copics and then laboriously cut out out and attached with pop dots onto the embossed base.  I added a smidge of glitter to the flames for that little extra somethin'-somethin'.

I decided to put some in my shop, too.  Click  HERE to be taken to the listing.  Hope she likes them, too!
